Charlise's 3rd Birthday!!

{Wednesday} March 9, 2010
Knowing that Charly's birthday was coming up I asked her what she wanted most. I figured she would say a shopping cart because she keeps asking for one like her cousin Clare's, but instead she sat there and thought for a minute, then said, "I don't want toys. I want fancy clothes!" Okaaay . . . this girl is hilarious. Our plan was for me to take her to Sea World on her birthday while the girls were in school, so the day before her birthday I took her to the mall to find her fancy clothes. When we walked past the shoes she quickly changed her mind to fancy SHOES instead! I'm in for it . . . or maybe I should say daddy's in for it!
Trying on all of the different fancy shoes in the store . . .
. . . and finally decided on some light up "fancy toes" shoes that she just HAD to have. What a girl!

All set with her shopping bad and purple balloon. One. happy. girl.

Woke up to the traditional 'birthday balloons all over the house' {blown up the night before when I had a girls night over at our house . . . went SO much faster with 4 of us getting lightheaded!}, sent the girls off to school . . . then went straight to Sea World. We spent all morning there watching shows and playing until we had to go get everyone from school.

THREE!!
Watching, what she calls, the "funny show" {Sea Lion & Otter show}.
And waiting for her favorite show, "the pretty show" {Blue Horizons . . . dolphins & pilot whales}.

When we got home from getting the girls there was a package at our door from Grandpa Ron & Grandma Linda. The girls always look forward to their packages from them!

"Reading" her card.

A cute little Webkinz dog.
A small doll and, of course, CLOTHES! This girly girl was SO excited to pull out a cute new outfit. She couldn't help but rip her clothes off and change into it.
Charly is such a funny little girl. She keeps us laughing with her silly songs and dances. She has turned into quite the girly girl! We love you Char-bar!

  1. You've blogged so much in the short time I've been away! Although I can't comment on every one, I've loved them! Your baby boy Porter looks oh so snuggly and it's crazy how big your girls are getting. I broke my foot about the same age as Hannah and I remember SO much of it. Poor girl! I remember being shocked at how much smaller the healing leg was than the regular one when they took the cast off...although Hannah's prob. smaller than I was anyway so there wasn't too much of a difference. She's a trooper for shooting hoops through it all though!
